Specialized lexicons

In preparation: a lexicon of human anatomy and a lexicon of natsiq (seal) anatomy. A judicial lexicon is the subject of ongoing work.

Dictionary compilations

A number of bilingual dictionaries and lexicons have been created for the Nunavik region. They require updating, reprinting, and sometimes translation. Avataq Cultural Institute has published an electronic version of the Schneider Inuktitut-English dictionary on CD, and is currently working on integrating the data for the French version. The dictionary of infixes has also been converted to PDF format. However, these volumes must be translated into Inuktitut in order to serve as language dictionaries. The Taamusi Qumaq dictionary is available in print form, with the entries in syllabic. It will be made available in PDF format in 2009.
