J.C. Grey is a young writer from one of the smallest communities in Nunavik. She is interested in Inuit governance, and has participated in national and international conferences and discussions on Inuit, the International Polar Year, the arctic and climate change.
J.C. was one of the first Nunavik students to attend Nunavut Sivuniksavut in Ottawa- a unique post-secondary program designed for Inuit students.
As an Inuit throat-singer she has performed for the Governor General of Canada and has been featured at festivals and celebrations in cities from Ottawa to Copenhagen.
J.C. has an intense fascination with Greenland and she loves to eat misiraq and quaq.
This virtual space is offered by Avataq Cultural Institute as a forum to encourage discussion amongst Nunavimmiut initiated by a young Inuk writer from Nunavik.
