An Inuktitut Language Gathering in Kangirsujuaq
April 16, 17, 18, 2013
Delegates from all communities of Nunavik will meet in Kangirsujuaq to discuss action plans to revitalize the Inuktitut language in Nunavik.
This grand gathering is the conclusion of 3 years of community-based workshops drafting a diagnostic of the health of the Inuktitut language, defining priorities to address and pathways of action to revitalize Inuktitut.
The objectives of this grand gathering are to bring communities and leaders to act on language issues.
Elders, adults and youth delegates will share their concerns and their ideas, discuss regional issues and commit themselves when they are back in their communities and their organizations.
